Commission for DJ Twinblade. I've never really done a furred character with tattoos, so in my attempts to make sense of how you tattoo fur, I tried to make the tats look more like they were part of the fur instead of solid designs.
The tribal patterns on the legs were referenced with of [link]

About 4.5 hours to complete, inked with Microns and coloured in Photoshop.

That's really cool. Is he a blue husky? He kind of looks like a Husky. :D Great job, as always. I think the tattoos came out great! :+fav: I'm sure he'll love it.

I love the expression and the special way you did the tatoos is really cool and believable.

I just have a real problem with his positioning. His legs seem to be at such an angle that in real life he would probably fall flat on hsi face doing this. (like his left foot, our right, appears to be too far back instead of out forward to support him) The leg closest to us also seems a little skinny - small, but maybe that's because of the angle. (not sure if you really wanted crits on a commission D:... sorry if you didn't)

I really love how you did the coloring though especially the way the fur flows around the cheek area :>

I see what you mean. I think that I did the sketch at an angle, sometimes that happens hahaha and then you ink it and go "well...shit.". I think if I pushed the head a bit further upright and less forward it would have looked less 'gonna fall on my face.' I'll have to remember that next time I attempt a similar pose!
And I don't think the close leg is small, the other leg's similar...it's just since it's from a side view you can see the fur strands on the backs of the thighs easier than the closer one. :o so it looks less phat. Thanks for the crit though, I don't get enough of them and it irks me! XD Comments are great, but they aren't as useful for improving :P
